Lana Grant

Obituary of Lana Taylor Grant

Keeper of the Flame, Lana Taylor, (Grant) born November 3, 1947 was carried by the angels to our heavenly kingdom on July 13, 2017 after a brief but valiant struggle. During her working life she was a valued team member at World Vision, WA and the Boeing Company, WA. In Lana’s illustrious on this earth, she was Keeper of the Flame: “….eternal through the night, with no rest for the weary, no darkness for the light..” As keeper of the flame, Lana brightened the lives of her loving sister Sonia, her dear son Marty, loving daughter-in-law Sue, lovely grand- daughters Khyrsten and Brittany, and great grand-children Masyn, Kyler, Scarlett, and Sebastian. She did that by crafting many art work projects, building a rocking horse, and writing children’s fairy tales, Lana’s family meant everything to her. She did things in her quiet and modest way without fanfare never seeking praise or adulation: “….she soothes where there is trouble, and gives grace to those without, she brings joy to where there is pain, for she is keeper of the flame.” Lana in of her great humanitarian acts in recent times, displayed great courage and fortitude when taking action in sparing little innocent children in her family from further physical harm and abuse. “…And when my days are over, when I look at the life left behind, I know the hope and faith that came, was from my keeper of the flame..” I know in the stays I still have left in my life, I have a narrative to complete; a part of Lana’s growing legacy. She was my musical co=writer, my refuge, my inspiration, my confidante, my sweetheart, and my keeper of the flame. The light may have dimmed for a moment, but her soul illuminates the sky and earth below like a thousand suns. God bless you dearest, precious Lana. I love you forever and a day. --Rick
