Obituary of Alan Dave Wright

Alan Dave Wright, born on March 8th 1948 at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Washington passed away in Seattle, Washington at the age of 71. Alan’s death was caused by his exposure to Agent Orange while in the service of his country. Alan was the first born child of Thelma Jean Trull and “Tiny” Wright. Alan’s childhood was spent in numerous places throughout the United States, including Seattle, Washington, Waukegan, Illinois, Norfolk, Virginia, and San Diego, California. Alan graduated from Sweetwater High School in National City in 1966. While attending Sweetwater, in the summer of 1965 Alan met the love of his life Karen Creasman. Alan and Karen were married in September of 1967. Shortly before marrying Karen, Alan enlisted in the Army serving his country in both Korea and Vietnam, before spending over 3 years in Germany. After leaving the Army in 1979 Alan eventually relocated to Southern California where he started a career in the security services for the missile defense industry. Alan retired from the missile defense industry in August of 2004 after having moved to Tucson, Arizona. Two years later, Alan relocated to his home state where he lived in Shelton until finally moving back to Seattle in 2018. Alan is survived by his wife Karen, his daughter Tanya (Kip) Landry, his son Christopher (April) Wright, his brother Lawrence Wright, his three sisters Janet Kooy, Mickey Neilson and Julia Temby, along with four grandchildren Katie Hickman, Sam Hickman, Cora Wright and Cade Wright. When his time on earth finally came to an end, Alan had been blessed with 53 years of marriage, and was able to leave his family on his terms: In his place with the love of his life holding him one last time until they meet again in Heaven.
