Denny was like an older brother, unfortunately because of our age difference I did not spend much time with him. I am working our family wine shop on Saturday the 13th, so I may not be able to make it to Auburn for the rememberance family celebration.

I will long remember Denny's wonderful, easy smile. He was one of those people that everyone was proud to know. He was generous with his time & effort, his laughter and his compassionate heart. I continue to hear new stories of service projects he was instrumental in within our community. I miss seeing him at our weekly Kiwanis meetings, and miss groaning at his silly jokes. My love to all of his family and friends.

My deepest sympathy to the family. May the promises found in God's word the Bible bring you comfort at this sad time. At John 5:28-29 it is promised "...the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." At Revelation 21: 3, 4 It is promised "...Death will be no more..." God's original purpose for the earth will be fulfilled. Please put faith in these scriptures when you think of Mr. Swanson.

Many great memories of my childhood are about being neighbors with the Swanson's. I was always in awe that Denny was a pilot that flew all over the world. My sister Tara and I loved the Geta shoes he brought back from Japan. We spent many days and nights playing with Toni, Mike and Kellie riding horses. Once Denny was pulling boards behind a small tractor to even the front yard before putting grass seed in and he called us kids over to sit on the boards to add weight. He said, jump off when I tell you. Well, my pants got hung up on a nail and I was pulled around the yard a ways. I was worried I was in trouble but I'll never forget the giant smile on his face. I still laugh about it. He was such a wonderful man. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him. The Graham Family sends their prayers for strength and peace to Joann and the kids. Rest in peace Denny.
