Obituary of Joyce Faye Rockwell

Joyce Rockwell- June 11, 1959-Sept 10, 2021

She gave the warmest hugs, a true loyal friend, so joyful ( she matched her name!) , she didn’t complain, a glowing gem in a crown, amazing at forgiveness, fun sense of humor, generosity, childlike innocence/faith, a great laugh. Faithful follower of God/attended church and Christian conferences all her life. She loved swimming, nutrition and her family and friends.

She was a faithful and selfless Caregiver for many years.

Joyce earned an MA in Counseling Psychology – 2004.

Joyce was an honorable Veteran- She served in the Air Force.

Survived by step-dad ( Bill in Oregon) , 2 brothers ( Mike in Oregon and Steve in Indiana) , numerous cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers.

Military Honors Funeral will be held 9/29 at 9:30 am at the Tahoma Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th, Kent, WA 98042. Please plan to arrive a bit early and we will all meet at the entrance of Tahoma Cemetery at 9:15.

Directly afterwards-across the street from the Tahoma Cemetery, is a reception starting at 10 am- 2pm at Covington Community Park, SHELTER E, 17649 SE 240th, Covington, WA 98042.
