Obituary of Denny Carl Risvold

Denny C. Risvold was born at home in Lakota Beach, King Co., WA. to Carl S. Risvold and Donna C. Jones Risvold on Nov. 13, 1927. 

Denny graduated from Olympia High School in June 1946. He enlisted in the Army in Sept. 1946. His 18 month tour of duty was spent in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He started work at Boeing in July 1948 and stayed for over 40 years, at various locations including Plant II Seattle, Kent, Bellevue, and almost 6 years at Cocoa Beach, Florida. Denny met his wife Frieda in 1950 at Boeing where she also worked at that time. They were married Nov. 21, 1951. 

Denny leaves behind Frieda his beloved wife of over 70 years, their children Scott and Lisa, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. 

He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Carol and Elizabeth (Betty), his brother Robert, his son Mark, his step-daughter Kati Dettmer, and her grandson Beau Zetzche. 

Denny enjoyed gardening, especially nurturing lush fuchsia plants from tender starts. He also enjoyed an occasional trip to the local casinos.
