Obituary of Burnham Moss

Burnham “Dale” Moss, 85 of Auburn died on May 18, 2006 in Tacoma. He was born on April 18, 1921 in Fairbury, Nebraska and for the last 60 years he has lived in Burien, Kirkland, Renton and most recently Auburn. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in August of 2006. Dale was a Navy Veteran of WWII having served aboard the USNCV6 Enterprise; he was involved in many engagements and received many ribbons and awards. He was a member of the Seattle Aerie No 1 Eagles then the Auburn Eagles. He enjoyed flying small aircraft, golf, motor homing and pool. Dale was a retired Iron Worker with Local 506, having worked on the Space Needle, Seattle Convention Center and the original Seattle Hats and Boots. Preceded in death by his brother Hal Henry of Fair Oaks, CA Survivors: Wife: Betty J. Moss, Auburn, WA Son: Richard A. Moss, Burien, WA Daughter: Jeanette D. Sterling, Auburn, WA Daughter: Caroline A. Schubring, Snohomish, WA 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren Memorial Services Saturday 2:00 PM June 3, 2006 at Zion Lutheran Church, Auburn. Memorials may be made to Franciscan Hospice.
