Obituary of Michael John Balsley

Michael J. Balsley passed away on Sunday, November 13th at age 66. Born in Auburn and raised in Enumclaw, Washington by Robert and Cleo Balsley. Mike graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1963 and proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War, earning the Bronze Star. After his military service Mike settled in Auburn, Washington with his beloved wife Betty and raised two sons, working as a truck driver. Always quick to humor, however colorful. Those who knew him knew that his heart was with his family. His generosity and sensibility were boundless and he will be dearly missed. Mike is survived by his wife Betty of 41 years, sons Dan and Glen, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Bob, Grace and Glen. Services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetary on Monday, November 21st at 10:30 a.m. immediately followed by a reception at Bourbon Jacks, 510 Washington Ave., Kent.
