Obituary of Joan Dorothy Bardsley
Joan Dorothy Miller Bardsley was born in Jacksonville, Oregon on December 21, 1937. Joan grew up in Seaside, Oregon and lived in Montana, Alaska and Washington. She retired from Apex Cold Storage in 2007. In 2005, Joan started attending Lifegate Foursquare Church. She was involved with Ladies Ministries, Outreaches and helped in the office. In 2007, it was apparent that Joan was struggling with Alzheimers. Her church family came alongside her and helped her through this season in her life. Joan loved Alaska, country music, cats, horses, coffee and spending time with her friends. She went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on May 16, 2012. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Miller; her mother, Florence "Bille" Grino; step-father James Grino; and her sister Ann Garren. Survivors include sister Carmen, brothers Dan, Johnny, Jimmy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joan will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Memorial Services are being held at Lifegate Foursquare Church, 307 East Main Street, Auburn WA, at 10am, Saturday June 2nd.
