Obituary of James Lee Manka
James Lee Manka was born May 27, 1934 in Grand Island, Nebraska passed away on October 30, 2019 in Renton, WA.
Jim served in the US Navy. He worked at numerous places during his life: Grocery Clerk at the family store Manka's Grocery in Mabton, WA, Smith-Gandy Ford; Bothell Brothers Chevrolet; Valley Buick GMC; Valley I-5 RV in Kent WA. After retiring from Valley I-5 RV he helped at their florist shop Kent Floral. He and Vince traveled to Arizona for many winters in their RV. He enjoyed watching the Seahawks and Mariners.
Jim was a member of numerous organizations: Elks Lodge #1808, VFW, American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles all in Auburn, WA. He was very active in the Eagles Club. He went through the clubs Aerie 2298 chairs. He was also a Past President of Aerie 2298 and also Past President Washington State Eagles Club.
James is preceded in death by his Mother Naomi (Stoakes), Father James and siblings Richard, Gerald, Raymond and Dorothy. James is survived by his wife Vincenzina, and his brother Norman Manka (Judy), Daughters Helen Heathman (Kelly) and Janet McCart (Pat). Grandchildren Matthew McCart (Robin), Lindsay Starkey (Taylor), Jacob Heathman and 2 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Monday November 25th @ 2:30pm
