Obituary of Harold E. Gleason

Harold E. Gleason Jr. of Renton died September 14, 2006 in Renton. He was 84. Born August 4, l922, in Beloit, Wis., he served in the Marine Corps during World War II in the South Pacific and had lived in Renton since l973. Mr. Gleason retired in September l986 as a machine specialist at Boeing Science Research Center in Seattle. He was a former member of the Auburn Elks. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Marjorie, in l970: and son, Thomas, in 2003. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Gleason of Renton; daughters, Phyllis Yount of Newman Lake, Christine Henson of Auburn and Kathleen Hopkins of Sutherlin, Ore.; sister Jean Smith of Darien, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; and l8 great-grandchildren. A graveside service is planned for 3 p.m. Monday at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
