Dear Mom; Thank you for your love to me through the years and for raising Carolyn to love God and His Word. She is the perfect fit for me as wife and companion. Your love for missions and Mt. Baker Camp have helped create wonderful memories. Your role in church planting contributed to my salvation, I was asked to teach a Sunday School Class for boys at one of the churches that you helped start. (High Point Baptist Church)and while teaching them about Salvation; I realized that I had not experienced it myself. I received Jesus in my heart and was Baptized when Carolyn and I moved to San Francisco in 1963. Praise God for your life. In your last days as we pushed you down the hall at Linden Grove, you were talking to Jesus, and how beautiful Heaven is. You are there now and experiencing it first hand. No more pain, only peace. Thank you God for Mom, and the wonderful memories with her.

We join the family in rejoicing that Evelyn is with her Lord. Yet, we know she will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Although we had not seen her fore several years we remember her smile and friendly greetings. We especially enjoyed being with her at Mt Baker Baptist Camp.

Grandma Evelyn will always be in my heart as she is resting peacefully. She's now an Angel. The last time I remember seeing her was at Patty's house before I moved out of town in 2007. Sorry for your loss, may God be with you to help comfort all of you. Love, Mari

I had the wonderful privilege of visiting dear Evelyn while she was at Linden Grove a few times. Her smile was amazing. I though, "I want to be like that." We would visit and then pray. I would pray for her, but then she would starting praying ! Wow! It made me cry. I would always walk to my car thinking, "Now who ministered to whom?" Truly a treasure. I'm glad she's in heaven today.

Into every life God brings special people to bring joy and happiness. We believe that your mother was such a special gift to all of her friends, acquaintances and family. We pray God will be with you in your time of grief knowing that you will miss your mother, but also rejoice in the live that she lived and the fact that she has gone to a better place, which God has prepared for her.

It has been 67 years since Evelyn drove my Mom to the hospital to deliver me, and she and your family have been in my life ever since. It is hard to believe that this wonderfully happy, loving woman is gone but I know she is in a better place and saying "Hello" to her friends and family, including my Mom. She will be sorely missed and my thoughts and prayers are will all of you during this time. My the Good Lord give all of you peace, Betty and Jim McCombs

Thank you Mom for all the love you shared with us during your long beautiful life. You were so special, teaching us girls how to live life, cook, sew, shop, work, serve and love, as Jesus loved us. We praise God for your testimony & witness to who JESUS is & HIS promises of Eternal Life for those who put their trust in Him. We miss you, love you and look forward to the day we join you in Heaven. Psalm 84
