Obituary of Alvin L. Schager

Alvin L. Schager, 81 of Bonney Lake died on November 4, 2005 in Bonney Lake, WA. He was born on November 7, 1923 in Sisseton, South Dakota and lived in Auburn from l950 to l969. Al served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He retired as a floor mechanic. Member of the Resilient Floor Covering Union 1238; former member of the Auburn Eagles and the Tacoma Elks. He enjoyed golfing, yard work and attending the Assembly of God Church and listening to spiritual songs. Survivors: Wife Carol Schager, Bonney Lake, WA Daughter: Melodie Schager, Bonney Lake, WA Son: David Schmidt, Auburn, WA Brother: Merlin Schager, Auburn, WA Brother: Darrell Schager, Tacoma, WA Sister: Ruth Bible, Port Angeles, WA Sister: Esther Osborn, Tacoma, WA Sister: Lillian Fisher, Tacoma, WA 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Graveside Services Monday November 14, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent. Memorials may be made to Group Health Hospice. Visitation Saturday and Sunday from 5 pm to 8 pm and Monday from 9AM to noon at Klontz Funeral Home.
