Obituary of Elizabeth J. Burger

Elizabeth Jean Burger (March 23, 1932- December 25, 2011) After a long and courageous battle with multiple illnesses, Elizabeth was taken home on the day of our Savior Jesus Christ’s birth. Elizabeth was born March 23, 1932 in Walsenburg Colorado to Charles and Frances Dinisi. When she was a young child her family moved to Los Angeles California. She remained there through her school years. It was October 6, 1952 when at the urging of her good friend Helen that she agreed to go to a USO dance on a blind date with then Airman William Burger. Well, it was love at first site. On June 6, 1953 they married. They remained married until the passing of her beloved husband William on April 30, 2011. Together they had four children: William, Lori, John and Steven (deceased). They raised their children in California. As their children started to venture up to Washington state they felt the need to follow. It was in June of 1994 that they found a home in Auburn and they both remained there until the spring of 2011. Besides her favorite past time of spending time with her family, Betty loved bowling, crocheting, gardening and playing the slot machines!
