Obituary of Henry Charles Tomlinson

Henry C. Tomlinson of Kent died of pneumonia and coronary artery disease, October 18, 2005 in Auburn. He was 89 years old. Born March 6, 1916 in Dunning, Nebraska, he grew up on a family ranch. He was preceded in death by all of his seven sisters. Married Emma Lou Bonds in Joplin, Missouri in 1948. They lived in Wichita, Kansas with Henry working at Boeing Airplane Co. until 1955, when he was transferred to Boeing in Seattle and retired in 1979. He was a member of The See Gulls Trailer Club, and enjoyed traveling with friends. He is survived by his wife Emma Lou, sons Tom of Federal Way and Rich of Shanghai, China. Daughter in laws Yingxi Fu-Tomlinson, of Shanghai, China, and Darlene Tomlinson. Also surviving are granddaughter Kori Dionne Freeman, of Lynnwood, and a young grandson Kyle Tomlinson in Shanghai, a sister-in-law, Ruby Mathis of Seattle. A memorial service will be held Saturday October 22, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Steel Lake Presbyterian Church in Federal Way. A private service will be held at a later date at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Steel Lake Presbyterian Community Supper Fund.
