Obituary of Vivian A. Payton

Vivian Payton enjoyed her life, family and friends. She went home to be with her Lord Oct 3, 2014. Her life will be celebrated at 7:00 PM Friday Oct 10, at New Day Christian Fellowship, 1312 2nd St SE, Auburn, WA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Payton, and their youngest daughter Elizabeth. She is survived by her son William Payton and daughter Marjory Halpin, as well as William’s wife Lily, their daughter Dawn Jones, her husband Chris and daughter Maia; Marjory’s husband Daniel and their daughters Jennifer and Janet Halpin, and Elizabeth’s son Michael Henry Payton Viveros. Vivian was born in Marthaville, LA on June 28, 1927. She met and married Henry in Corpus Christi, Texas. When he retired from the navy they moved to Anchorage, Alaska. Vivian loved to read and she began the library at Sunset Hills Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting afghans and giving them away. After Henry died she decided she had fallen on the ice and snow enough and moved to Auburn, WA in 1983.
