Obituary of Colene Elizabeth Osborne

Colene was born in Salem, OR to George and Martha Kantaros. After moving several times during her youth, they settled in Tacoma, WA where she and her sister Helen grew up. She attended and graduated from Stadium High School in 1952. Having met her Husband, James Osborne in 1958, they were married in 1959. Moving to Star Lake in Kent, WA where they raised their family and lived for more than 40 years. Colene was an exemplary and supportive, mother, homemaker, and wife, yet she still found time to volunteer at the local schools where children were drawn to her for her diminutive stature. After her children were grown, she returned to the working world as an Administrative Secretary for companies ranging from Seattle to Saudi Arabia, eventually settling at the Boeing Company where she worked until her retirement. Colene was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Gallwas, and her husband Jim Osborne. She is survived by her four children, Diana Hines (Danny), David Osborne (Lucy Kay), Cynthia Blackwell (Daran), and Donald Osborne (Myrna), 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was small in stature, at just 4’11” but big in heart. She was a wonderful listener and was adored by most everyone she met and engaged in conversation. She and her warm smile will be dearly missed. Service Pending.
