Obituary of Rose Evon Wissbrod Ellison

Rose Evon Wissbrod Ellison entered this life June 20, 1927. She entered eternal life on July 20, 2010. Rose Evon Wissbrod was born to Benjamin and Carrie (Kaya) Wissbrod, the sixth of nine children in Noonan, North Dakota. Rose became engaged to Alfred Ellison on December 17, 1947 and was married in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Noonan, North Dakota on July 25, 1948. She went to Minot State Teachers College and Trinity Hospital Nursing School in Minot, North Dakota and became a registered nurse. She worked in St Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula for two years while Al attended University of Montana. In 1950 the couple moved to Coos Bay, Oregon where Al started working for Weyerhauser. Rose worked in Kaiser Hospital, North Bend, Oregon until 1954 when her first of four sons was born. In 1956 they moved to Longview, Washington where they lived for thirteen years. They moved to Auburn in 1969 and lived in the Forest Villa neighborhood for the next 38 years. She worked the counter with Al at Taylor Rental Center in both Federal Way and Bonney Lake for nineteen years until the business was sold in 1996. In 2005 they moved to Rio Verde Mobile Estates in Auburn. She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Alfred E. Ellison and her four sons, Leif (Lily), Roger (Anita), Guy (Brenda), and Eric and her grandchildren, Bjorn (Ethel), Clare (Tony), James (Niki), Drew, Bree, and great-grandchildren, Iliana, Lenora, Miles and Audrey. She also leaves behind three sisters, Violet, Lois, and Donna, and her brothers Bob and Don, and many, many nieces and nephews. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. We will remember her for her patient spirit, the sparkle in her eyes and the love in her heart.
