Obituary of Robert Roy Smith

Robert Roy Smith, 74 of Auburn peacefully went home to be with Jesus on April 16, 2011. The son of the late George W. Smith Sr and Helen G. Lawson Smith Whitmer. Preceded in death by his beloved wife and soul mate Geraldine “Jerry” Smith of 47 years. Bob worked for Roseburg Lumber Company and operated an Adult family Home in Auburn. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, he enjoyed coin collecting, card playing and Family and Friends. Leaving behind his 4 daughters, Cheryl “Larry” Fisher, Roberta “Larry” Locke, Dina “Dan” Davis all of Auburn, Sandy Fitzwater of Las Vegas. Grandfather to Robert, Steven, Crystal, Ryan, Jacob, Matt, Jeremy, Kristian, Kyle, Ashley, Alex and Bailie. Greatgrandpa to Saydi, Kaylee, Korbin and Rain. Brother to Donald “Joanne” Smith, David “Judy” Smith, Albert “Sharon” Smith, Frank Robert Quist, Jerry “Karen” Whitmer, Larry “Sue” Whitmer and the late April Smith, William Smith, George Smith and John Smith; Evelyn Johnston, Dorothy Andreson, Helen Beckett and Linda Carnahan. Numerous nieces and nephews and long time friend Kandi Antoun. Graveside Services 9:30 AM Friday April 22, 2011 at the Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Seattle Gospel Mission or the Auburn Food Bank.
