Obituary of Gerrie Tumia

Gerrie Tumia, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend passed from this earth to a better place on August 7, 2012. Gerrie waged a brave and tenacious battle with ovarian cancer for nearly 5 years and beat the odds more than once. Born in Buffalo, New York, Gerrie came to reside in Auburn, Washington with her husband and best friend Dan. Together Dan and Gerrie raised two children, and was a proud mom. Gerrie had a long career at the Boeing Company as a supply chain analyst. Gerrie is survived by her husband Daniel, daughter Heather (Matt) Newland and grandson Maxwell, and son Danny Jr. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and coworkers to numerous to list. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00am, September 8th at Holy Family Catholic Church, 505 17th St. S.E., Auburn, Washington, 98002. www.holyfamilyauburn.org .
