I never knew this man is so handsome until when I saw the collection of his photo album. Dad in-law, there is no doubt I have missed you but not forever because some day we shall all meet at the footstool of Jesus Christ. You are cherished and loved but God loves you more. Remain handsome till eternity. I believe you are reading this from where ever you are? Do sleep well, you don't die but you are just sleeping. Miss u

To the Greer Family, I remember my cousin James, as a little girl visiting my Aunt Hattie and Uncle Simon in Gary. I remember when they would come and visit my dad (Lee Jr.)in Chicago for the weekend. James was the same age as my older brothers, Lee, Cornell and Michael. He was also a big brother to me and my siblings who remember him. Our prayers from this side of the family go out to James' family. God Bless You and keep you and maybe we will get together soon. Love Hannah

To my dear brother, the last few days we talked a lot about these scriptures: John 14 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him

I will always remember our last conversation on the phone. And it made me laugh this morning. You told me that not everyone in this family is going to heaven... But I know made that transition into grace. You gave me the inspiration to find peace and Joy in life through truth. I know you and Angela were each other’s GRACE & UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, STRENGTH, WISDOM, COURAGE AND UNWAVING SUPPORT. You will be greatly missed by your children, your brother Simon Greer Jr. your dear beloved friend Debra, and your daily support... your sister Angela. Peace is still Cousin!

I will miss you dad. We were just getting a better relationship going. There are many things that a child wants to do or say to their dad, but there are memories that can be held in the heart. It hurt that you are gone, but I have your strength flowing in my veins. Thanks DAD R.I.P.

Condolences to the family. I have many memories of James from when I lived with him and Chris from 8th grade through 11th grade. He was very good to me. He had a good heart and was generous to me. Although my family called me Baba, from the beginning he always called me Ethel. Rest in peace James. Your suffering is over. Your favorite sister in law

To my hero, over the last few years you became my bestfriend, mentor and teacher through this journey. I thought about you throughout the years we had missed. I was able to talk to you about anything. You couldnt have been a better brother to me. You gave me the love I needed over all those who didn't. You will truly be missed in my heart. In the last days, we shared together sacred times. Being drawn closer to God, I would like to to leave this final gift to you about what friendship is to me.

Pops, I am going to miss you. I remember all those conversations we had about men and I am laughing at the advice you gave me. Any other man in my life can only be half as great as you. You were my hero, my twin, my rock, my protector, my friend, my confidant, but most of all, my daddy. I am overjoyed that you are now in a better place. No more suffering. You were more than a daughter could ever ask for. I love you pops!
