Obituary of Constance Soyard Caton

Constance (“Connie”) Caton, 49 year resident of Los Altos, originally of West Roxbury, MA. Born December 29, l9l9 in Boston, Massachusetts to Harold and Celine Spavin, died of complications of heart disease on December 20, 2005 in Federal Way, WA. She was 85. Connie grew up in West Roxbury, MA and graduated from Wheelock College and Boston University majoring in elementary Education. She taught Kindergarten and grades 1-4 on Martha’s Vineyard. She married David Cranston Caton, Sr. on February 23, l946 and lived in Natick, MA. In l956 she and David moved to Los Altos, CA. where they raised three children. In the l970’s she taught at Community pre-school on Remington in Sunnyvale, CA. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, she enjoyed being a member of three electronic organ clubs, a book club, wife and housewife. She is survived by her sons David Cranston Caton, Jr. (Mary) of Federal Way, WA; Robert Wilson Caton (Ruthann) of Chester, CA. and her daughter Carolyn Ann Caton of Santa Clara, CA as well as 2 grandsons, Christopher and Brian and granddaughters Vanessa and Raina, as well as a great-grandson Joshua Calib. A private memorial service will be held on January 6, 2006 in Federal Way, WA.
