Though we never met, we knew of Irene from our long friendship with Tom Agnew and his wife, Chris Martin. Tom told some great stories about growing up in his LARGE family, their annual football game at Thanksgiving, the trophy each and every kid received and the number of turkeys, hams, pies, etc. prepared to feed the hordes of family. Chris was in awe that Grandma Irene would take care to see that each of her many grandchildren received a special gift from her. Just knowing Tom and the kind of person he has been as a father, husband, firefighter, mentor and friend to many people is an example of Irene's positive influence in the lives of the many people she touched. May her life be celebrated. Gayle and Paul

We remember Irene as a fun loving person with a very large heart. We will always remember when Jack and Irene stopped to visit us and we were dumbfounded and impressed with the entire family. We will miss seeing her smiling face and great sense of humor. She is in a better place.

I remember Aunt Irene from the time she and Uncle Jack were newlyweds. We Morrisseys, as a family, traveled so many times to Fargo for fried chicken on Sunday. Irene could go into the kitchen and good things began to happen immediately. She was a born "Maker of Feasts." She was kind and generous, with great concern for others. I was spending the afternoon with her when Billy became ill, and drove them to the hospital... throughout the following week she was a pillar of strength for family and friends alike. A woman of great kindness with a smile for all, she will be long remembered by those who knew her....A consumate and loving mother and wife.
