I have always said that Pastor Eric was one of the three most influential men in my life, along with my father and my high school coach/mentor/teacher. He baptized my two children at Messiah Lutheran in Auburn and I will always remember his sermons filled with the humor, wisdom and the Good News...We are all richer, deeper and more blessed people for having known him. My deepest sympathies to his large and wonderful family.

Our deepest sympathy to you Svava and your family. My first memory of hearing Sigmar preach was in Auburn when he sang "The Evening Prayer" which brought tears to my eyes. Orv loved and admired him so much too and felt the support throughout some difficult times. We are so fortunate to have had him in our lives as he touched us deeply. He will be missed by all. Love, Mona Anderson

Pastor Sigmar was a great man and a great pastor. I remember him so well, and loved his sermons. He made me love the Lutheran Church, and during these many years with many career moves, I always looked for the nearest Lutheran Church whenever we moved to a new city. And I always thought about Pastor Sigmar when I walked through the door of the new church the first time and especially when I opened the hymnal.

Dear Svava and family, We send our love at this difficult time. Eric has left a huge void. He was bigger than life and touched so many people. I picture him and Anno having a great time reminiscing and playing bridge with Grandpa Fred. Eric was special to me as he performed my baptism and our wedding ceremony on Vashon Island. We are so fortunate he touched our lives. Loving thoughts and prayers to the Sigmar family. Sarah Taylor Eden and family, Husband Chris Eden Son Reid Cornwall Daughter Alison Cornwall
