Somboon Maliton สมบูรณ์ (พนม) มะลิต้น passed away on February 7, 2023 in Auburn, Washington. He was 64 years old.
Somboon was born in April 1958 to Prapoj Maliton (พพจน์ มะลิต้น) and Anong Maliton (อนงค์ มะลิต้น) in Bangkok, Thailand. He was the eldest of five children.
Somboon immigrated to the United States in 1991and became a U.S. citizen in 2011. He married his wife Titikarn (ธิติกานต์) in 2012 in New Jersey, where he worked in the restaurant industry. After some years living and working in New Jersey and then Arizona, Somboon and Titikarn moved to Auburn in 2015. Working as a cook at the Muckleshoot Casino in Auburn, Somboon was well known for working cheerfully and whole-heartedly, which earned him an award as Employee of the Month. He was beloved by his co-workers and supervisors and is greatly missed by them.
An avid golfer, Somboon could often be found out on the course in any weather, or else working on his golf skills using a small practice putting green in the living room, with a golf tournament on TV in the background.
Somboon was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Titikarn (ธิติกานต์ มะลิต้น), three younger brothers Pranet (พเนตร มะลิต้น), Pranat (พนัศ มะลิต้น), and Anuchit (อนุชิต มะลิต้น), his younger sister Nucharee Tangpubet (นุชรีย์ ตั้งภูเบศร์), his sister-in-law Titiporn Lamlamay (ธิติภร ลําละมัย), niece Sasikarn Petchtubtim (ศศิกานต์ เพชรทับทิม), and mother-in-law Kitja Rompogren (กิตจา ร่มโพธิ์เงิน).
Somboon will be dearly missed by all his relatives and friends. A memorial service was held at Wat Phra Dhammakaya in Seattle, Washington, on February 10, 2023.
